This is an old hardcover book with a dust jacket published in 1962 by Sir Isaac Pitman & Sons Ltd. It has 477 pages in good shape. The dust jacket has some browning and wear.
This is an easy and practical approach to the Russian language.
The grammar is explained simply and methodically, numerous examples being given, and there are copious exercises based on the points treated.
Short stories and poems are also introduced.
The ground covered includes private and commercial correspondence, and there are useful lists of abbreviations, institutions in the U.S.S.R., etc.
These features, together with the comprehensive lists of parts of speech and the double vocabularies, make this a complete reference book to the Russian language, and a suitable textbook either for class use or for private study.
