The artist responsible for this wonderful sculpture is Janelle Marshall, a descendent of the Gumbanyggir people of the east coast of Australia, near Nambucca Heads in Northern New South Wales.
She learned about the language, stories, art, song and dance of her people from her aunts and uncles.
Janelle is proud to be an Aboriginal woman, she appreciates the beauty of her tribal land and is blessed to have knowledge of a spiritual path which she now travels.
Through her art she can share the beauty of the Gumbanyggirr area and its people.
Janelle works in schools sharing her art with children of all nations and is currently studying education at the Australian Catholic University.
Her goal is to teach her culture and art to the children of the world.
The sculptures are made of cold cast resin with a matte black base.
They are hand painted, individually numbered, a limited edition of 2500.
The underside of the base shows the edition number and background story of the art.
